FTMPC 2.0

Fri Sep 24 2021

In the monotonous extension of the quarantined days of another year of covid-19, NDITC presented its second annual programming contest, the sequel of FTMPC 1.0, Father Timm Memorial Programming Contest - 2.0. This contest attained a hallmark as one of the biggest programming contests in the country, with contestants from all over Bangladesh.

This event was presented by BRAIN STATION 23, co-powered by ERA INFOTECH LTD. with gifting partner FLIPBAZZ and brought to you by Notre Dame Information Technology Club in memory of our revered late Father Richard William Timm. This contest was a follow-up to the FTMPC - 1.0, one of the largest programming contests in the country.

Father Richard William Timm (1923 – 2020) was one of the founding members of Notre Dame College, Dhaka, and our revered 6th principal. He was noteworthy for his writings and relief works supporting Bangladesh in the Liberation War. Besides his social position, he had an excellent scholarly mind. As a biologist, he had done extensive research work in taxonomy and discovered over 250 species. This Ramon Magsaysay Award winner is also the founder of the debate and science club of Notre Dame College, the first in the country. Through this competition, we remember him every year for his immense contributions to Science, Notre Dame College and Bangladesh.
